Your child is sick. What are your options?

1. If parents consider a situation to be life threatening and therefore an emergency, they should always call 112 for an immediate evaluation by a doctor. A parent should not hesitate in these situations and should trust their instinct.

2. For non-emergency situations (where an immediate evaluation is not necessary) you can reach us during our office hours to arrange an evaluation by the doctor.

3. Outside our office hours, if you consider that your child needs to be seen by a doctor on that day, you can take your child to the hospital*. The hospital located closest to the practice is the St. Joseph Hospital and the DRK Hospital Westend.

4. Alternatively, another option is the First Aid location offered by the Kassenärztlichen Vereinigung Berlin*. The opening hours are usually Wednesday and Friday from 3 pm to 10 pm and weekends as well as on holidays from 10 am to 10 pm. You can find a list of their locations and telephone numbers under Kinderärztlichen Breitschaftsdienst.

Please be aware, if you choose to go to the hospital or visit one of the First Aid locations of the Kassenärztlichen Vereinigung Berlin, you may experience a significant waiting time.
