What is Asthma?

Asthma is a chronic inflammation of the small bronchi of the lung. In 80 % of the cases it occurs during the first 6 years of life. Some children who suffer from asthma can be asthma free in their adult life.

What are the symptoms?

Dry cough, especially at night. Wheezing with exhalation, tightness of the chest and breathing difficulties (dyspnoea). The symptoms can last days to weeks if untreated.
